Bio: Alison is the author of the best-selling memoir Where the Peacocks Sing: A Palace, a Prince and the Search for Home. An international journalist who has written for Time Inc, the New York Times, the Washington Post and Vanity Fair, Alison presently teaches creative nonfiction and literary journalism at Scripps College, Claremont, CA, and at Stanford Continuing Education. Her book, Where the Peacocks Sing, is presently being adapted as a streaming series. She has been awarded the Silver Lowell Thomas award for Foreign Travel Features Writing, the Amnesty International Human Rights Features Writing award, and a Hoover Media Fellowship at Stanford University.
